How to Make Dark Chocolate Cake | Veg Cake Recipe

Egg-less Dark Chocolate Cake

Chocolates always receives bad comments regarding high blood pressure, acne, obesity and so on. But intake of its moderate consumption is good for our health, experts have proved that. The dark chocolate have antioxidants that gives strength too. Likewise dont hesitate to eat dark chocolate cake as it also gives you boost and refresh your mind.


Ingredients

Maida (All purpose flour)  1-1/2 cup
Choco powder 4 tbs
(Seive maida  and   
Choco powder 2-3 times)
Curd  3/4 cup
Refined oil 1 cup
Sugar  powder 1 cup
Vanilla essence 1/4 ts
Salt a pinch
Milk 1/2  cup 
Baking powder 1 ts
Baking soda 1/4 ts
Chocolate chips 
almonds, raisins 1/2 cup
(Dust maida on dry fruits and chocolate chips)
Chocolate sauce  4 tbs
Chocolate ganache 1 cup
(Fresh cream 1/2 cup
Dark chocolate 1/2 cup)

To make ganache add chopped dark chocolate to hot fresh cream and mix continuously till chocolate dissolves.

Method
1:  In a bowl take curd and sugar (curd at room temperature) together and mix well.

2: Sprinkle baking powder and baking soda on curd and sugar mixture and let it rise  without mixing them.  After 5 minutes add vanilla essence,  salt and oil and mix well.

3: Now add maida in 3 parts in curd,  sugar mixture and mix by applying  cut and fold method . Don't overmix the  batter otherwise it will not become spongy. Add milk in two parts by mixing batter so that no lumps get formed.

4: Now add dryfruits and chips and mix very lightly. Pour the mixture in a greased baking tin lined with parchment paper and tap it twice to settle down the batter evenly.

5: Pre heat the oven at convection mode for 15 mins and place the tin into it for 30 to 35 mins or check after 35 mins by inserting toothpick in it. If it comes out clean then cake is ready.

6: De-mould the cake when it cools down. Glaze it with chocolate sauce or chocolate ganache. You can also spread ganache in layers of cake by cutting it from centre.
