Chicken Kebab Recipe| Make Kebabs At Home


Ingredients to cook chicken

1/2  kg chicken with bones ( it tastes better)
3/4 cup chana dal soaked for 2-3 hours
1 no onion cut into four
1 inch ginger
8 - 10 cloves of garlic
2 green cardamom
1 black cardamom
 1 inch long cinnamon stick
 4 - 5   cloves
 6 - 7 pepper corns ( tie these 5 khade masale in a cotton cloth)
 4-5 dry red chillies
 1 tbs cumin seeds
 1 tbs coriander seeds
 Salt as per taste
 4 cup water
 
 Ingredients for making Kebas

 2 tbs ginger garlic paste
 2 chopped green chillies
 1 tsp cumin powder
 2 tbs coriander powder
 1 tbs garam masala
 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilly powder
 1/2  tsp Black salt
 (adjust as per taste)
 2 tbs  fresh coriander leaves
 1 tsp Kasuri methi
 2 Eggs
 1 cup oil for frying
 1 tbs Chat masala
 2 tbs lemon juice
 
 Method

 • In a heavy bottom pan add chicken, soaked daal, all spices given above for cooking chicken and water. Cover the pan and cook them all for at least 30 minutes or till chicken gets soft and you get creamy texture of chicken and daal. There should be no water in a pan. Let it cool.
 • Now remove all bones from chicken and pick out the spice bag from pan.
 • In a mixer jar, mince all boneless chicken along with the material left in the pan and take out all material in a bowl and mix all ingredients given in kebab section(Mincing in sil batta gives more taste than in a mixture).
 • Now grease your hands with oil or water, take a small portion of material and make small ball out of it and flat it with your palm to make kebab. For the sheikh kebab, shape it with the help of any sheikh or chop stick.
 • Now heat oil in another pan to fry kebabs or you may shallow fry them in a non stick pan.
 • Sprinkle some chat masala and lemon juice and serve with chutney and salad.
