Lemon Chicken Recipe

Dishes made with chicken has very long list in menu. People who love to eat chicken are always ready to explore new varieties in non veg food items.There are hundreds of items that has its special place and lemon chicken is one of them as it is mild in taste and easy to digest. So lets get started.

How to make Lemon Chicken?

Ingredients

1 kg chicken with bones (Thighs and legs tastes well)

2, 3 tbs lemon juice

1/2 ts lemon zest

1/2 curd whisked

2 tbs ginger, garlic paste

2 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp whole pepper corns

1 tbs thin slices of ginger 

1 tbs garlic chopped

2, 4 green chillies cut in slits

2 tej pattas

2-3 tbs oil or butter (it tastes very well)

Water as required

1 tbs cornflour

Salt as per taste

Method

• In a bowl marinate chicken for at least 10 minutes (you can marinate it for more or overnight) with curd, pepper, salt and juice of 1 lemon.

• In a pan heat oil or butter and put  pepper corns, tej patta, garlic and let it fragment, add ginger as well. Now add all chicken with all its marination and cook at high flame for 2 to 3 minutes. When it gets some good boils low the flame, cover it and cook for 7, 8 minutes. Flip the chicken. Now again cook it for 7, 8 minutes or till it gets dry and change its colour. If you want to eat it as snacks then add corn slurry to it(Mix cornflour with some water)and cook for 2 minutes.

• Now add lemon juice, pepper powder and coriander leaves. You can also add kasuri methi and pizza seasoning.

• Now garnish with ginger, lemon slices and onion rings. Lemon chicken is ready to serve with roti, rice or as snacks.
